Virtual and physical platform
La Vega Innova is not limited to a physical space. We also have a virtual headquarters through an online platform that allows startups to test new solutions in a real environment. Our physical headquarters are also located in San Fernando de Henares, in the CENCA and CENTER facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

“La Vega Innova” is the name of the Innovation iHub of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, which includes, among other things, a global incubation and acceleration programme for start-ups, developed in collaboration with TELEFÓNICA DE ESPAÑA S.A.U. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, through the iHub, is looking for disruptive technological solutions that contribute to the transformation and competitiveness of the business fabric, solving the business challenges of companies in the agri-food sector.
Participation in the La Vega Innova Incubation and Acceleration Programme lasts approximately 8-9 months, a period during which the maturity of technology-based projects in the agri-food sector is encouraged and promoted through the iHub incubation methodology, so that they can respond to pilot projects and test them in real environments.
The programme is semi-attendant. It includes face-to-face activities in the rooms provided by La Vega Innova and online activities. The organisation will facilitate the planning and modality of the activities as far in advance as possible.
To access the programme, it is necessary to have a business idea or a working prototype of a technological and/or innovative or disruptive product or service with real possibilities of being commercialised and marketed within one year for digital projects and up to five years for industrial projects.
It is not necessary as long as the eligibility requirements are met. For those projects that are not yet incorporated, it will include, among other things, the commitment to incorporate the company during the period of participation in the programme, confidentiality and intellectual property aspects.
At least one member of the team applying for the call must be personally, professionally and habitually dedicated, i.e. full-time and exclusively to the project for the duration of the programme.
